Brittany Bodden has been dancing since birth, due to her being of Jamaican and Guyanese descent. Her introduction to ballet began at the age of 4 in Brooklyn, New York. Her official training began when she was 6 years old at Gwinnett Ballet Theater. While enrolled there, she added tap, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary to her arsenal. Growing up, Brittany’s favorite style of dance was hip hop. After graduation, she turned to teaching while attending Georgia Gwinnett College with a degree in Psychology. As of this year, she has taught ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop to students varying from age 2-16. Over the last 3 years, Brittany has planted roots with her home studio in Dacula, and another dance center in Tucker. Her favorite part of teaching is the light that appears in her dancers’ eyes when they finally conquer a skill or a piece of choreography that they’ve been working on for a while. Teaching children is one of her greatest joys next to her 3 young children (ages 9, 5, and 4 months old). Brittany is a firm believer in spreading the joy that comes with dance as well as the discipline it can provide. She is so excited to be joining the Creative Movement and Dance instruction company and cannot wait to teach your little ones!
