Jamie Bubb began her dance training at the Northeast Atlanta Ballet, under the direction of Jennifer Byokawski- Gordon. Here, she was given extensive performance opportunities around Georgia. Jamie danced principal rolls with the pre-professional division of the company including; The Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Peter in Peter Pan, Cinderella in Cinderella, and Ariel’s sister in The Little Mermaid. She danced in an outreach performance for the Atlanta Food Bank at the Rialto Theater, with Atlanta Ballet and Full Radius Dance Group. She attended summer intensives with the Boston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet of New York City, and Dance Theater Of Tennessee. Jamie has trained with notable teachers and choreographers such as Shamil Yagudin of the Bolshoi Ballet, Franceska Corkle, Tattianna Ledukoski, Mira Popovitch of the Serbian National Theater Company, Roger Van Fleteran of the Alabama Ballet, and Poliana Ribero of the Boston Ballet. In 2011, she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Dance from Birmingham Southern College on scholarship. She then moved to Nashville, Tennessee to dance professionally with the Dance Theater of Tennessee. While with the company, she danced in The Nutcracker on tour throughout Tennessee. She teaches ballet technique, pointe, women’s variations, contemporary, modern dance, jazz dance, children’s tap dance and the occasional hip hop class. She has taught for Rythmic Moves Dance Studio, Nashville School of Dance and Music, Lilburn School of Ballet, and the Grayson School of Ballet. Jamie has been teaching for Creative Movement and Dance since 2012, and has a deep love and appreciation for what the company offers its students as well as its instructors!
