Griffin, Alternese

Alternese Griffin, professionally known as Neasy, is a seasoned dance instructor and choreographer with over 25 years of experience. Born and raised in Charleston, SC, she began dancing at age 3, and started teaching professionally at age 12. Neasy specializes in a wide range of styles, including Ballet & Tap (children’s combo), Creative Movement, Hip-Hop, Afrobeat, Contemporary, Lyrical, Line Dance, Modern, Jazz, Praise Dance, Acro, Cheerleading/Pom, Tumbling, and Ballroom for all ages. Her training includes work with renowned choreographers such as Darrin Henson, Christian Vincent, NappyTabs, Mia Michaels, Brian Friedman, Rhapsody James, Travis Wall, Sean Bankhead, Gil Duldulao, Luam, Mr. Wiggles, Kevin Maher, Poppin’ Pete, Laura Edwards, Twitch, and Raquel Orlander of “We Are Heroes.” She has served as a “MADE” Coach for MTV, appeared on seasons 2 and 3 of So You Think You Can Dance, and been featured on BIGO LIVE TV. Neasy choreographs for recording artists, stage performers, dance teams, musicals, and competitive dancers. A positivity advocate and motivational influencer, she’s also been featured in Shoutout Atlanta, Bold Journeys, and Voyage ATL’s Rising Stars series. She is the founder and owner of her own independent dance company, and head choreographer & coach for a dance team nonprofit organization.
