Unlike studios, which typically charge hundreds of dollars in costume fees, recital fees, and tickets, CMD has no costume fees or additional charges for recitals.
The recital schedule is published on this site on March 1st.
Costumes are provided by CMD, and MUST BE RETURNED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PERFORMANCE! All dance students need to bring their ballet shoes and pink tights (and tap shoes if your child is enrolled in a Tap-Ballet combination class). Girls with long hair must have it up in a ponytail or bun. Ribbons and bows will be provided. If you wish for your daughter to wear make-up, please apply it prior to the recital. Also, please arrive 20 minutes early to have your child fitted into his or her costume!
As always, we appreciate your cooperation in encouraging your child to be on his or her best behavior. Here are a few pointers for a good performance:
- Have your child go to the rest room at home before you leave, or at the center before the performance.
- Explain to your child to pay attention to his or her teacher- not grandparents or friends in the audience.
- Please do not try to capture your child’s attention for a picture or video. Please be as discreet as possible.
- Control laughter. This distracts the children easily.
- The children must remain together until the performance is over. Please do not ask them to sit with you.
- BE ON TIME! If you are late, please come in quietly without distracting your child.
Remember, for many of these children this will be their first appearance in front of an audience. All cooperation is appreciated. We look forward to meeting you all. If you have any questions please call
(678) 482-2264.
RECITAL PHOTOGRAPHER – We arrange for professional photographers at most performances (not all- overlapping schedules prevent this). At most locations, photos will be taken prior to the recital. A list of locations which will have a photographer will be posted on our website. Payments are to be made to the photographers with pre-orders or at the performances, and pictures will be mailed (or download links emailed) directly to you. CMD does not handle payments or delivery of the pictures – all transactions are strictly between the photographer and customer. Photographer info will be on the Recital Schedule posted on our website.
ALL ACCOUNTS MUST BE CURRENT (NO PAST DUE AMOUNTS) FOR YOUR CHILD TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RECITALS AND PERFORMANCES. NO COSTUMES WILL BE GIVEN OUT UNTIL TUITION IS PAID IN FULL (Teachers are NOT permitted to accept payments, and payment will not be accepted at the recital)
Most locations, classes will continue through the week of May 22nd – 25th
Classes may be held after recital dates.
Church enrichment, P&R, and private school programs may differ. At these schools, we follow their closings.
