Alaylla Watkins has been immersed in the world of dance since the age of 2, training under the guidance of Stephanie Watkins at Stephanie’s Dance Explosion. Throughout her dance career, she has won numerous local and national titles. Alaylla continued her passion for dance at the collegiate level, where she further honed her skills. She is a proud Cum Laude graduate from the University of Georgia, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a minor in Communications. During her time at UGA, she was a member of the UGA Red Hotz, the university’s only competitive dance team, and the UGA Georgettes, the university’s football dance team. Her creative influence was evident, as she helped choreograph pieces for both the UGA Red Hotz and the UGA Georgettes, including a powerful halftime performance for the “Women of Soul” show. Now based in Atlanta, Alaylla continues to make her mark in the dance world as a freelance choreographer. Many of her choreographed pieces have received numerous overall and choreography awards. Additionally, she is a G-League NBA dancer with the College Park Skyhawks and a competition teacher and judge. Alaylla has also had the privilege of performing aboard Royal Caribbean cruises and has trained with Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway and the Joffrey South Ballet summer program further refining her craft. Alaylla is excited to be a part of the CMD family!
